EPC ANNUAL CONGRESS 2020: Industry & Academia – Supercharging the Crucible

Online event free

Given the ongoing public health situation, the EPC has taken the decision not to hold our Annual Congress as a physical event at Sheffield Hallam as planned, but as a programme of online webcasts, events and activities spanning two weeks in September. While we’re obviously disappointed not to be getting together in the traditional way, we’re genuinely excited about the new approach that we’ve put together and we hope that we can persuade you to continue to be involved.
We are really proud of the programme we had originally designed and so in developing our new online schedule, we are sticking as closely as possible to the amazing line-up of discussions and speakers while adding an online spin to proceedings. To that end, we have split what would have been 3 days of activities into 5 online sessions on Sept 8th, 11th, 15th and 18th.
The full programme is available here.
Please book your place here.
Details of the EPC Hammermen Student Prize shortlist can be found here.

The Annual Congress is the EPC’s flagship event of the year for engineering academics at all stages in their careers. This event is for:

  • Engineering academics at all levels from deans to early career staff (for whom there will be free and discounted places)
  • Visiting professors
  • All support staff with any responsibility for external liaison with businesses whether for research, placements, partnerships or recruitment
  • Businesses with an interest in working more closely with universities
  • Professional engineering institutions and other engineering sector organisations.

Refund policy
Delegates who booked to attend EPC Congress are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid an have been contacted to facilitate this.
We hope that members and delegates recognise that the EPC has sought to be fair and generous in our approach under difficult circumstances. We regret that the EPC cannot accept financial responsibility for any costs in connection with third parties, such as non-refundable travel expenses or accommodation. We urge you to contact the third party as soon as possible.
